TL;DR
- Everstake is now live and available on Copper‘s platform across 7 networks: Aptos, Cosmos, Injective, NEAR, Solana, Sui, and Sei.
- Copper was founded in 2018 and is building blockchain-based infrastructure that enables institutions to move and deploy capital more efficiently.
- Copper clients can now directly select Everstake as a staking provider directly on the platform
- The change pairs with Everstake‘s completed DORA controls assessment, reviewed by Prescient Security under ISO 19011, and its existing SOC 2 Type II attestation.
What Changed on Copper’s Platform
Everstake is now a named, directly selectable staking provider on Copper’s platform. Previously Copper clients had to manually specify an Everstake validator address but now every client sees every validator directly.
Staking with Everstake is now available across 7 networks:
- Aptos
- Cosmos
- Injective
- NEAR
- Solana
- Sui
- Sei
6 new networks are now available for Copper clients, in addition to Solana that was first announced in the Everstake and Copper institutional staking partnership. That partnership connected Copper’s custody with Everstake’s non-custodial staking infrastructure.
Why Direct Validator Selection Matters for Institutional Clients
Direct validator selection lets Copper clients apply their own diligence criteria to a specific provider. Institutional clients subject to third-party risk requirements need to identify and assess the specific infrastructure provider for their staked assets.
A Copper client can review Everstake’s compliance documentation and then select Everstake on the Copper Platform when staking Aptos, Cosmos, Injective, NEAR, Solana, Sui, and Sei.
How Everstake’s Compliance Position Supports Copper Diligence
Everstake completed an independent DORA controls assessment that gives EU institutional clients documented evidence for their own third-party risk reviews. The review was conducted by Prescient Security under ISO 19011, with controls evaluated as of June 22, 2026, as detailed in the Everstake DORA controls assessment announcement.
DORA is the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act, which sets requirements for how financial entities manage information and communication technology (ICT) risk. It took effect across the EU in January 2025 and extended oversight to certain third-party technology providers, including staking infrastructure providers.
DORA has no formal certification scheme, unlike SOC 2 Type II or ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Alignment is demonstrated through assessment and attestation instead of a pass/fail certificate, which is why Everstake describes this work as a completed controls assessment.
For a Copper client subject to DORA, selecting a provider with a documented controls assessment potentially reduces the diligence burden. Without that documentation, the full assessment could fall onto the client during review. A number of clients are also requested by their auditors to work with vendors that meet DORA requirements.
The relevant controls span:
- ICT risk management
- incident handling
- resilience testing
- security of the validator and signing infrastructure
Everstake’s Broader Compliance Program
The DORA controls assessment sits alongside Everstake’s existing attestations and certifications covering security, privacy, and cybersecurity governance. Prescient Security conducted the DORA review and also conducted Everstake’s SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and NIST CSF 2.0 assessments.
The current set includes:
- SOC 2 Type II: independent verification of internal control effectiveness over time.
- ISO/IEC 27001:2022: certified information security management system.
- NIST CSF 2.0: cybersecurity maturity score assessed at 4.16.
- GDPR and CCPA: data protection and privacy compliance across the EU and California.
Documentation for every framework is available at the Everstake Trust Center. Copper clients can now pick a compliant staking provider with demonstrated operational rigor and experience with over 130 networks to date.
