Everstake

TL;DR

Everstake has deployed its oracle service on the Chainlink network. Everstake never holds or manages LINK on a staker's behalf, staking happens entirely inside Chainlink's contracts.

Full staking details ↓

  • Chainlink staking is available through Chainlink's own Community Staking smart contract.

  • LINK holders lock tokens directly into a Chainlink smart contract, and there is no step where a staker delegates LINK to Everstake or to any other node operator.

  • Chainlink's community staking is currently full and capped at 40,875,000 LINK, with a community-pool reward rate of 4.32% effective (a 4.5% base rate less the 4% auto-delegation to node operators), published by Chainlink.

  • Unstaking is not immediate: a 90-day ramp-up governs locked rewards, and exiting requires a 28-day cooldown followed by a 7-day claim window.

  • If you are a LINK holder, protocol or enterprise that needs a dedicated Chainlink node, contact Everstake for a custom solution.

No, not immediately. Chainlink's community staking pool is typically full, so new deposits open only as existing stakers unstake and space frees up.

Pool status: Full. New community stakers can enter only when an existing position completes a withdrawal.

Pool cap: 40,875,000 LINK for community stakers, within a total v0.2 protocol capacity of 45,000,000 LINK. .

Reward rate: 4.32% effective for community stakers.

For future reference, please check current availability on Chainlink's staking dashboard.

LINK staking is a direct interaction with a Chainlink smart contract. A staker locks LINK into Chainlink's v0.2 community staking contract.

It is different from other typical networks, since there is no operator-selection screen, no delegation to a validator, and no Everstake step anywhere in the flow. The community allocation is capped at 40,875,000 LINK and a per-address limit applies, so entry depends solely on available space.

Rewards could accrue in two forms:

  1. Claimable rewards, withdrawable at any time
  2. Locked rewards, which vest over a 90-day ramp-up period tracked per address.

Exiting is a deliberate, timed process: a staker initiates a 28-day cooldown, then has a 7-day claim window to complete the unstake. Miss that window and Chainlink automatically re-stakes the LINK, restarting the cycle. All of these parameters are controlled by Chainlink.

Due to Chainlink network specifics, Everstake is not part of this flow. There is no Everstake deposit address for LINK and no delegation to Everstake at any point. Staking happens entirely on Chainlink's own dashboard, subject to the 40,875,000 LINK community cap.

  1. Confirm space is available and connect a wallet holding LINK at Chainlink's staking dashboard.
  2. Lock LINK directly into Chainlink's v0.2 smart contract, up to the per-address limit and available pool space.
  3. Track claimable and locked rewards on the same dashboard; to exit later, start the 28-day cooldown, then complete the unstake within the 7-day claim window.

Everstake operates node infrastructure inside Chainlink's decentralized oracle networks, delivering off-chain data to on-chain smart contracts.

Everstake is not a destination for community staking. That function belongs entirely to Chainlink's contracts. The relationship is non-custodial by design: staked LINK stays in Chainlink's contracts, and Everstake never holds, moves, or manages LINK on a staker's behalf.

Read the details in Everstake's Chainlink contribution report.

Everstake deploys and operates dedicated node infrastructure for protocols and enterprises that need their own Chainlink oracle capacity, including white-label deployments run under a partner's own brand.

This is for teams building on Chainlink who need reliable off-chain data delivery. Bring your data-feed requirements, target chains, and expected throughput to the conversation. See Everstake Validator-as-a-Service for dedicated node deployments, and let’s talk about a dedicated Chainlink validator.

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that lets smart contracts access off-chain data: asset prices, reserves, and real-world events through Chainlink price feeds and related services.

Node operators, like Everstake, are the backbone of that network: they run the infrastructure that retrieves, signs, and publishes external data on-chain, so that decentralized applications can act on reliable inputs.

For the mechanics behind this, see what a blockchain oracle is and how Chainlink node operators deliver data, and for design trade-offs, how Chainlink and Pyth differ as oracle designs. Chainlink's own whitepaper covers the full protocol design.
