Injective distributes staking rewards every block, roughly every 0.6 seconds, so INJ staking rewards accrue continuously from the moment of delegation. Rewards accumulate as a claimable balance that the delegator withdraws manually. Because rewards accrue as a separate balance from your delegated principal, they don't generate rewards of their own until you claim and re-delegate them.
Auto-compounding is available through REStake, a third-party app not operated by Everstake, which uses the Cosmos SDK Authz module to periodically claim and re-delegate rewards on the delegator's behalf. Compounding raises the effective amount of rewards over time, no fixed percentage is attached to it.
Unbonding INJ takes 21 days which is set by the Injective protocol. During those 21 days the INJ stops generating rewards and cannot be transferred, traded, or delegated elsewhere.
To switch validators without waiting, delegators can redelegate: it is done immediately and does not interrupt rewards. However, a stake that was itself moved in by a recent redelegation can't be redelegated onward again until a fresh 21-day period has passed.
