Everstake runs a validator on Sui, so SUI staking happens directly from the holder's own wallet: delegators keep custody, and Everstake never has authority to access, move or freeze delegated funds.
Full staking details ↓
Everstake's commission is 10% of rewards. In most wallets, staking starts from 1 SUI.
Sui epochs last about 24 hours, newly delegated SUI becomes eligible for rewards from the next epoch.
Rewards accrue and compound automatically each epoch and are realized when you unstake.
Delegators can unstake at any time with no unbonding period. The withdrawal returns original delegated amount plus all rewards accrued up to the previous epoch.
SUI unstaked during the same epoch it was staked earns no reward for that epoch.

What Sui is: Mysten Labs, Move, and the storage fund behind validator rewards
SUI is a Layer-1 blockchain built on the Move language, with an object-based data model that treats every asset as an independent object declaring which objects it touches.
Transactions execute in parallel and hit finality under 400 milliseconds, while making entire classes of smart-contract exploits structurally harder.
Delegating SUI to Everstake moves validation rights, not ownership: the tokens stay in the delegator's wallet, and the transaction is signed in the user's own wallet or through Suiscan.
Everstake charges a 10% commission on staking rewards, which is never deducted from the delegated amount.
Everstake's Sui validator rate is variable: it moves with network conditions, total SUI staked, and validator performance, and Everstake does not fix or guarantee it.
SUI delegated during an epoch begins earning from the next epoch, not the one already in progress.
Rewards accrue at each ~24-hour epoch boundary and compound automatically into your stake, they are realized when you unstake, not paid out to claim between epochs.
You can unstake at any time. Sui has no unbonding period, and the withdrawal returns your delegated amount plus all rewards accrued up to the previous epoch.
Note that SUI unstaked in the same epoch it was staked earns no reward for that epoch.
Sui staking rewards are drawn from two sources: computation gas fees collected each epoch and, while the subsidy lasts, stake subsidies; the storage fund also feeds validator rewards by redistributing past storage fees. The storage-fund fee component changes, so make sure to check the relevant information in the Sui staking calculator on this page.
Everstake's Sui validator address is 0xbba318294a51ddeafa50c335c8e77202170e1f272599a2edc40592100863f638
You can verify this address via Suiscan. There you can confirm the validator's identity, its 10% commission, and its live performance before delegating.
Step-by-step guides for each supported wallet:
Sui doesn’t have a typical delegated amount slashing, instead the blockchain uses a rewards-based penalty. Through the network's Tallying Rule, validators continuously monitor and score one another.
If a validator is reported by more than two-thirds of the set (2f+1) for poor performance or downtime, the network slashes that validator's staking rewards for the epoch. Delegators of a slashed validator lose their rewards for that epoch, but the staked amount is never seized or destroyed.
A delegator's real exposure therefore comes from validator performance, not loss of principal: if a validator underperforms or goes offline, all the rewards for that period are dropped.
Everstake's performance is publicly visible on Suiscan, so delegators can monitor it directly. Everstake has never been slashed on Sui.
Everstake is one of the staking providers for Nasdaq-listed Canary Capital Staked SUI ETF (ticker SUIS), which launched on 18 February 2026. BitGo Trust is one of the fund's qualified digital-asset custodians.

Institutions staking more than $500K of SUI can arrange terms directly with Everstake's BD team, institutional staking.
Sui is a layer-1 proof-of-stake network built by Mysten Labs, a team formed in 2021 by former Meta engineers who had led the Novi/Diem blockchain work and created the Move programming language. Mysten Labs closed a $300M Series B in September 2022, backed by leading crypto investors including a16z. The Sui mainnet went live in May 2023. Sui uses Move and an object-centric data model to process many transactions in parallel.
Sui also runs a storage fund: fees paid for on-chain storage are held and redistributed to validator rewards over time.
