Everstake operates a validator on Aptos, so APT holders can delegate to it and keep custody of their tokens.
Full staking details ↓
Aptos staking with Everstake starts at a minimum of 11 APT, and Everstake charges a 10% commission on the staking rewards the validator generates. The commission is taken from rewards, never from the delegated principal.
Delegated APT starts generating rewards from the next 2-hour epoch, and rewards are credited and auto-compounded every epoch.
A delegator can begin unstaking at any time. The stake becomes withdrawable once the Aptos lockup cycle ends, which takes 0 to 14 days depending on where the request falls in the cycle.
Delegating never moves APT to Everstake. The delegator signs with their own private key and can undelegate without Everstake's involvement.
APT can be delegated from Petra, Nightly, Pontem or Fewcha, or directly inside the Everstake staking dashboard, which supports Aptos natively. Current APR:2.60%

Aptos placed investors and core contributors on a four-year unlock schedule at launch, and that cycle concludes in October 2026. After it ends, scheduled supply increases fall sharply and the remaining new supply comes from staking rewards rather than vesting.

What Aptos is: Move, throughput and APT tokenomics
There are two ways to delegate APT to the Everstake validator.
Option 1: Everstake staking dashboard. Aptos is one of the networks Everstake supports for native dashboard staking. Connect an Aptos wallet at the Everstake staking dashboard, enter the amount, and sign the delegation with your own key.
Option 2: Wallet flow. Delegate directly from an Aptos wallet in four steps:
Supported wallets with a step-by-step guide:
The Everstake validator address is visible on Aptos Explorer and Aptoscan, so you can confirm you are delegating to the right operator. Everstake is also listed in the Aptos Foundation Ecosystem Projects directory under the "Infra" category.
Aptos runs on 2-hour epochs. APT delegated to the Everstake validator starts generating rewards from the next epoch boundary after the delegation. Rewards are credited every epoch and auto-compound into the active stake. Everstake's 10% commission is taken from the staking rewards, never from your delegated principal.
You can begin unstaking at any time. The stake becomes withdrawable only once the Aptos lockup cycle ends.
Since the cycle is a fixed, governance-set duration that renews automatically, the wait depends on where your request lands in it: it can be as little as a few hours or as long as the full cycle.
The Aptos mainnet recurring lockup is currently 14 days, giving a 0–14 day window. Your stake keeps generating rewards until it becomes withdrawable, then stops.
Note that delegated APT can be illiquid for up to the full cycle (0–14 days) after you request an exit.
Aptos does not currently implement slashing. A delegator's principal is not at risk of being seized or burned for validator faults. The real risk is missed rewards: if the validator has downtime or underperforms, there are less rewards generated for that period, but the staked principal is unaffected.
For delegations above $500K in APT, Everstake offers institutional terms. To discuss terms, reach out to Everstake professionals at BD team.
Aptos is a Layer-1 proof-of-stake blockchain built with the Move programming language and the Move virtual machine. Move's resource model is designed so that digital assets cannot be copied or accidentally destroyed, which is central to Aptos’s concept.
The network uses the AptosBFT consensus protocol and a parallel execution engine (Block-STM) that processes independent transactions simultaneously. Aptos strives to be the lowest-latency, highest-throughput blockchain in the market.
The ecosystem spans DeFi, NFTs, payments and gaming.
Aptos mainnet launched in October 2022 with an initial supply of 1 billion APT. The genesis distribution was:
In Q1 2026, total APT supply is approximately 1.2 billion with a 2.1 billion hard cap introduced in the 2026 tokenomics overhaul.
Aptos was founded in 2021 by Mo Shaikh and Avery Ching, both former Meta engineers who worked on the Diem project; Ching has served as CEO since December 2024.
